Summary

The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) sponsored Illinois Adult Education Professional Development Network (PDN) strives for each delivered training to be inclusive, accessible, and offered in a positive learning environment. Our participants are partners with us in reaching that goal. Please read the short Code of Conduct and respond as directed.

Illinois Adult Education Professional Development Network Code of Conduct for training participants  

Participants agree to:
  • Attend and actively participate in registered training 
  • Plan to arrive on time for training
  • Participants arriving late or leaving early may not receive PD credit for the training.
  • Provide prompt notification of tardiness or absences
  • Attend training prepared to engage as a working professional. This includes dedicating full attention to the training (i.e., using web camera and mic for online training as requested, and not conducting extraneous activities such as teaching, driving, or supervising children). 
Professionalism and Respect

Demonstrate a high level of professional judgment by respecting the inherent dignity and worth of each person and helping to assure that the learning environment is characterized by respect and equal opportunity for each person, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion, language or socioeconomic status.

Assume responsibility and accountability for performance and continually strive to demonstrate proficiency and currency in both content knowledge and professional practice.

Disclose Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Use of AI in adult education should follow the ethics, transparency, and accountability guidelines approved by the Illinois Community College Board. Please review those guidelines HERE.

Plagiarism

Copying all or part of someone else's work is wrong, and submitting that work as your own constitutes plagiarism. If outside sources are used as part of any submission, they must be properly cited.

Violation of Code Conduct will result in reporting violation to the Senior Director of Adult Education, ICCB, which may result in:
  • Removal from training session/course

  • Notification to the local program administrator

  • Possible violation of organization rules or regulations

  • Ban from using PDN services
