Special Learning Needs Specialist

To begin the Special Learning Needs Pathway, an instructor must be a Preferred Instructor AND complete criteria to become either an ABE or ESL Standards Proficient Instructor.

Please note a large portion of the training required for Special Learning Needs Specialist is the Institute to Credential Special Learning Needs Resource Specialist. This is a contained training with in-person and online components. The PD Portal can provide more information on registering for this training.

Discover a variety of technology resources and ways to incorporate them into your adult education classrooms. Explore applications to assist students with special learning needs  as well as technology resources and classroom applications appropriate for ESL, ABE, and ASE students.
