Illinois Adult Education Transitioning Continuum

Transitioning through Life, Advanced Education, and the World of Work

As educators in Illinois assist students in successfully transitioning through education, training is needed to support efforts to view transitioning as an ongoing, lifelong process. Adult educators and students transition every day. Everyone does. Indeed, transitioning is a thread that runs throughout life.

The training sessions in the Continuum are designed to broaden perspectives of those responsible for guiding students as they embark on this journey. The units are designed to promote smooth student transitions within and between educational/training providers and into the workforce and to move students from largely being dependent on others for assistance toward independence and self-sufficiency.

This part of the Transitions Continuum is categorized by topic area.
